When we have a distribution system consisting of spot welding machines, constant load stamping presses and general utility like compressors, water pumps, what is the best method of seperating them to avoid power factor penalty.
In one of my clients' place, since all the loads were distributed commonly from same panel, the power factor was never climbing beyond 0.6 in spite of installing automatic power factor controllers with 120 KVAR capacitors.
can somebody suggest me an answer?
