Energy Saver for CFL (T5) category lights

Even though we have seen energy savers for conventional flourescent and tungsten bulbs, does it help to save further power on CFL (T5) bulbs ? CFL already has 60% less power consumption than conventional ones. And when a plant has mixed lighting, does energy saver contribute any further energy saving?

I tried working with some of these stuffs myself, but no result. I found that when we have a combination of conventional and CFL bulbs, the energy saver DOES NOT save any energy. Any comments ? am I doing something wrong somewhere?
