Even though it is an accepted fact that Variable displacement pumps are far more energy efficient than conventional fixed displacement pumps, for same exact specification of a given machine, how much power reduction is possible? In some of the applications like on Battenfeld and Demag machines, we have seen a difference of only 20% power saving between fixed and variable displacement pumps.
Can anyone come online and give some specific case studies and results?
